Treasa Leigh Brown ~ rebranded and established Leigh Events in 2014 after working in the corporate world for 15 years. Leigh Events brings a modern and chic approach to designing, planning and coordinating weddings of all sizes and styles. Treasa entered the Event Planning Industry because she absolutely loves to turn simple milestones into memorable and lavish events.

So how did she find her passion for this industry? As a highly creative and insanely organized individual, Treasa immediately fell in love with event planning and design after planning her own wedding in 2004. She loved her ability to use her creativity to turn a simple vision into an elegant reality that created a lifetime of beautiful memories. In 2006, she founded the company as Brown Essence Designs and in the same year she planned her first event…. a wedding, for a client! Since 2006, she has planned a wide variety of events, from intimate affairs for 30 guests to more elaborate weddings or corporate and social events for 300+ guests. In 2010, Treasa became a Certified Wedding Planner with the Wedding Planning Institute of Canada.

Her background in Accounting has certainly helped Leigh Events acquire its pristine reputation as it has allowed her to develop excellent organizational and budget management skills.

Treasa’s attention to detail and calm, caring spirit gives her the ability to embrace every aspect of wedding planning from the vast logistics, to the etiquette how-to, to creative design elements. Treasa has it covered. She believes that each and every wedding should tell a different story — the story of the bride and groom. Utilizing her network of talented vendors, she brings together all the details to ensure that every bride, groom, and guest has an unforgettable wedding experience.

Her passion for the industry and innate creativity, allows her to design stunning and elegant events each and every time. Treasa absolutely loves the uniqueness of various cultures and she loves to incorporate different cultural elements into each event. She spends countless hours catering to the needs of each client … no detail is ever overlooked!

When Treasa is not planning an event, she enjoys spending time with her family. A great meal, good wine and indulge in something sweet (she loves cupcakes)….. Treasa enjoys travelling with her husband and two sons to their favourite destinations: Hawaii, Florida & New York City. She loves anything with diamonds or sparkle, but most of all she loves to design events every chance she gets. She works tirelessly to ensure that every facet of your wedding planning process runs smoothly and efficiently and that your wedding day is an absolute success!
